When we think of romance, we often conjure up images of candlelit dinners, long walks on the beach, and sweet nothings whispered between lovers. But romance isn’t confined to traditional romantic relationships. It’s woven into the fabric of friendships, your relationship with yourself, and the connections you build within your community. Dates can be enjoyed by yourself or with friends, and life can be incredibly romantic with or without a partner. Spoil yourself with little luxuries and curate a life full of colorful experiences that you can look back on fondly.
The roadside flowers, too wet for the bee,
– Robert Frost
Expend their bloom in vain.
Come over the hills and far with me,
And be my love in the rain.

Burdock & Co is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver though the prix fixe is on the higher side at $125 per person. But if we’re talking about romance, there’s nothing better than treating yourself to a beautiful birthday dinner – especially when with a good friend who is equally food obsessed and offers great conversation. We were especially fortunate to catch the flower-inspired menu “flower gazing under the Berry Moon”. The most amazing thing about Burdock is how they create poetic menus around different themes that is switched out every couple of months. Only the best and freshest ingredients are used with incredible execution – Burdock has a technical kitchen and makes most things from scratch. It’s not a surprise that they was honoured as one of eight Vancouver restaurants to receive a coveted Michelin Star. Layers upon layers of flavours and textures make for a most delicious dinner that will leave you anticipating for the next visit already.

Romance is everything.
